Cliff-top Grand Hotel Le Rocce is a boutique hotel set above the golden beach of Gaeta, in Ulisse Bay, halfway between Rome and Naples. It offers all the amenities you could desire for your holiday, including fabulous unique sea views. This is the perfect hideaway to relax and take a romantic break. THE HOTEL: Le Rocce is a delightful boutique hotel, which used to be the private summer residence of one of the most popular actresses in Italy but you will only discover the identity once there. Built like a villa along the cliffs with many paths, terraced gardens, and nooks. The pool area is on an upper level, the restaurant is around the middle, and of course, the beach area is at the bottom.  This is a very Italian venue and you will feel like you are in an old film setting. Perfect for full relaxation. 

THE OWNER the important villa was acquired by Viola's family in 1970 and today is run by the second generation of friendly brothers Viola, Stefano and Alessandro. The service is to be commended. All the staff is very attentive, welcoming and professional. The atmosphere is warm, homely, and informal.

THE ROOMS: Beautiful 45 rooms, individually designed after the recent renovation, and furnished in light tones and colorful accessories. Each room has a balcony or a terrace and offers breath-taking sea views. All have free wifi, air-conditioning, and  TV. Families may want to choose connecting rooms,  junior suites (35sqm), Deluxe (36sqm) which are larger and can host an extra bed or have a sofa-bed. Couples will choose a Superior(16-20sqm), available with terrace or balcony or a Classic room(14-16sqm) or a garden room with a private patio.

THE SUITES hosted in the tower and furnished keeping the original Moorish style, are larger (36-48sqm) and ideal for special occasions and honeymoons. Without a private outdoor space but with beautiful sea-views. Popular actress Monica Bellucci was among the guests a few years ago.

THE FOOD: Breakfast on the terrace cannot be beaten. The buffet is extensive with many different pastries, scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon. You can also order porridge a la carte. For lunch, the Veranda Restaurant offers a Mediterranean cuisine or you can have a light lunch (salad, burgers) at the pool bar or at the beach cafe'. Dine at the upper restaurant 'La Terrazza degli Ulivi', specialized in fish-cuisine.

THE ICING ON THE CAKE: The bar area and the reading room with a fire-place are a romantic and cozy nest for the winter days.

LOCATION: You are just outside the village of Gaeta, a 10-minute drive and halfway between Naples (1.30-hour)  and Rome (2 hours). Grand Hotel Le Rocce is off the beaten touristic track in a secluded bay overlooking the Gulf. 

WHAT TO SEE AND DO: You need your own transport to discover the delights of the area. Go for a hike or bike along the beautiful trails of 'Circeo Natural Park' - you can also hire an expert guide for a couple of hours. Have a boat tour to beautiful Ponza, Palmarola, and Ventotene. Stroll around the pretty villages of Gaeta, Sperlonga, Terracina and San Felice Circeo. Soak up the atmosphere of the authentic Italian lifestyle.  Relax at the beach and swim in the turquoise sea or in the gorgeous swimming pool with fantastic views. Train at the fitness area with Techno Gym equipment.

GOOD TO KNOW:  Be ready to climb 200 steps to reach the beach. Parking is always guaranteed for the guests.
