Why rent it Everything as it should be
The villa is a beautiful large house (220sqm) with 6 bedrooms and a pool in East Tuscany. Hidden away in the hills, just 20 minute's drive from Arezzo and Lake Trasimeno, this lovely stone farmhouse overlooks the Chiana Valley. The villa can be rented in the high season for a minimum stay of 7 days, starting on Saturday.
THE VILLA: the place sits amidst the garlic farm and combines rural life and a relaxed traditional style. Simple good wooden pieces, as the local style command, are the spirit. You can relax on comfy chairs in front of an open fire in winter and at the pool in summer.
THE OWNER: Paola and her family own and manage the farm and two-holiday villas. They know the region and are happy to help you get the best from your trip to beautiful Tuscany.
THE ROOMS: The villa can accommodate a max of 12 people in six A/C bedrooms arranged over two floors. Five of the six bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms; three are arranged as doubles and three have twin beds, but you can ask for a different setup, depending on your needs. All are furnished in local style with artisanal wood and wrought iron pieces.
THE FOOD: There is a large fully equipped kitchen-dining area that opens onto a large covered veranda, ideal for dining 'al fresco'. Cooking classes are available on request, for a minimum of 4 people.
THE ICING ON THE CAKE: Surprise: every year, for three weeks in August, the villa is transformed into a relaxed creative hub with painting lessons available.
LOCATION: The Villa is just 5 minutes drive from the pretty medieval village 'Lucignano'with a farmers' market, food shops, and several restaurants.
WHAT TO SEE AND DO: The villa is a perfect base to relax by the pool and with a view of the Tuscan hills. If you want to explore you will need a car. You are a short distance from the picturesque towns of the Val Di Chiana (Cortona, Arezzo), where you can taste the local Chianina meat and salami, and from Lake Trasimeno. Go wine tasting in hilltop Montepulciano (30 min) where they produce both the Rosso and the Nobile di Montepulciano. Siena (45 min) has a beautiful historical center and is home to the famous Piazza del Campo, the Torre del Mangia, and its beautiful Duomo. Florence (1 hour) is a must-see if this is your first time in Tuscany.
GOOD TO KNOW: The pool is completely fenced - ideal for families with children.
