Villa Treville is a luxury intimate hotel along the Amalfi Coast shoreline, overlooking Positano. Its clifftop setting and striking architecture reward with dramatic views from any part of the villa. THE HOTEL: Villa Treville was movie director Franco Zeffirelli's summer house. It has been transformed into a deluxe boutique hotel - a private paradise. Accommodation is in four villas that have 15 unique suites, two with private gardens. The villas are nestled in a large garden with narrow stone paths, lush lawns, and large bushes of bougainvillea. The estate has also a delicious restaurant, a private beach, and a jacuzzi hidden in a stone cave and with a beautiful view.

THE OWNER: Maxime, the general manager, and his team work tirelessly to help you get the best from your trip. They can book restaurants and arrange private boat tours so guests can visit Capri or explore the coast

THE ROOMS: Each room takes the name of one of the many celebrities who have stayed here. The renovation of Villa Treville began under Zeffirelli's own guardianship but was completed by the American proprietor and the architect Fausta Gaetani, a friend of Zeffirelli, who continued to stay at the villa.
The villas are full of local craftwork, such as Vietri ceramics and original antiques. Notable are the hand-painted plates, made exclusively for the hotel by Rosalinda di Sorrento, as was the glass by Venini from Murano.
THE FOOD: Villa Treville has a stunning terrace by the sea where breakfast can be taken at any time. Snacks and fruit are always available. Guests can enjoy light lunches and dine romantically under the stars.

THE ICING ON THE CAKE: A boat with a captain is available to guests and goes back and forth to escort them to the beach at Positano and to the own Beach Club, just five minutes away. There is also a range of inspiring boat excursions and transfers with a professional boat service team.

LOCATION: The hotel is on a private stretch of the Amalfi Coast overlooking the clear waters and has breathtaking views.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO: This is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty and local hospitality. You are half an hour from the picturesque villages of the Amalfi coast. Go trekking on Monti Lattari and take a boat ride along the coast or to the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida. Pompeii and Herculaneum, the ancient Roman city buried by Vesuvius, is less than an hour's drive.
