Ristorante La Carbonara is 'the' traditional restaurant where locals go. Delicious dishes prepared according to the original recipes, often created by the great-grandma' a hundred years ago and passed on through generations. THE RESTAURANT: La Carbonara restaurant is hosted in the same ancient building since 1912. It has amazing views over the Piazza Campo dei Fiori, one of the most popular in Rome.  If you look for something still authentic, you are in the right place! Book a table on the first floor to enjoy the beautiful view.

FOOD & WINE: La Carbonara has a seasonal menu, carefully chosen to offer the best dishes from the Roman tradition and the best recipes created by the family in the last 100 years. Since 1927, recipes at La Carbonara have been tried and tested many times before being handwritten in the family cookery book and introduced on the menu. The aim has been always the same: to deliver a balanced combination of flavors,  full and delicate at the same time.  To do so, fresh natural ingredients have been always sourced from small, selected growers, and also the olive oil is made 'ad hoc' for the restaurant. Start off with a pasta dish - 'Rigatoni alla Carbonara' or 'alla Gricia' or 'Bucatini all'Amatriciana' - followed by a delicious 'Saltimbocca alla Romana' with roasted potatoes. Leave some space for their freshly made 'Tiramisu'.  At La Carbonara you will find also a rich wine list with bottles from any region of Italy.
