Popular for its amazing history, Pompeii is among the most visited archaeological sites in the world and in the Unesco World Heritage list. The ancient Roman city was covered by the lava erupted from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AC and discovered in the XVI century. The site requires at least 2hours to be properly visited.

Meeting point:  pick up at the entrance of the site or at the Zeus parking.

Good to know:  If you come by public transport from Naples or Sorrento:  take the Circumvesuviana train and get off at 'Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri'. The main entrance of Pompeii 'Porta Marina Superiore', is only a few steps away. If you drive, use  Zeus Park (the price is a few €/hour) and you can also leave luggage inside the car. People can access the site from 8.30/9 am until 3.30 pm (1.11-31.03) and 8.30/9 am until 6 pm (1.04-31.10).
