Your guide Roberta Pellegrineschi is an official local guide since 2002. 100% Tuscan, she grew up in Lucca, graduated in English and specialized in custom made tours for small groups, individuals, and families with children. Her passion is for helping people to appreciate the beauty of Lucca through its spectacular monuments, fascinating history, and delicious food. She has an intimate knowledge of the popular tourists' centers and attractions but she also takes her clients to the more un-touristic places.
She organizes private guided walking tours lasting 2 hours but you can decide to book her also for a full day (€350), having your own car. 

City Tour The typical city tour consists of a 2-hour exploration of Lucca with its late Reinassance walls; its beautiful churches such as the Cathedral, San Michele and San Frediano (just to name a few!); its picturesque narrow streets; the  Amphitheater and the Guinigi Tower.

Full-day tours  If you want to explore more, there is the possibility to have a full-day guide and you could visit some of the beautiful aristocratic villas in the Lucchesian countryside.

Considering that the province stretches from the coast to the mountains and offers a diversity of places to discover, another full-day tour might consist of the exploration of the popular 'borghi', among the best in Italy and full of enchanting views: Barga, Castelnuovo, and Castiglione di Garfagnana. 

Alternatively, it is fascinating to go from Torre del Lago, known for being the home of Giacomo Puccini, to Viareggio, a delightful coastal town, with its pleasant and interesting Liberty-Art Deco buildings. The tour could pass through the elegant V.I.P. village of Forte dei Marmi and the artistic Pietrasanta, a sort of open-air art gallery that extends across the city with important sculptures made by Botero (who has his house there) Mitoraj, Cascella, and many others.
