Why choose Breathtaking views
Hike on the Mounts of the Amalfi Coast and in Capri and enjoy the best views with Nino, a passionate local guide! His motto is 'enjoy nature as a traveler, not as a tourist!'. Be ready for an early pick-up, around 8 am, before it becomes too hot. After a 30' drive up to the mountain, the group will hike for several hours, stopping for a traditional snack and visiting also olive oil and lemon farms. The return is around 4 pm.
Location: Popular for its amazing rocky landscape, the 50-kilometer stretch of coastline overlooking Salerno Bay, is a 'must-see' place. Dotted with small beaches and picturesque seaside villages, all the area features terraced manicured vineyards, olive and lemon groves.
Itineraries: There are different beautiful paths available along the Amalfi Coast. The most popular is the 'Sentiero degli Dei' (Path of the Gods - 5 / 7.5Km), one of the most famous in Italy. It goes from Bomerano to Nocelle, walking in spectacular sceneries with the most breathtaking views of the coast from the archipelago of Li Galli to the Island of Capri. Through old vineyards, terraces, farmhouses, and monasteries suspended at 650 meters above sea level, you will have the feeling to walk in a painting with an ever-changing landscape.
Beautiful is also the 'Sentiero di Minerva' (Minerva's Path - 7.5km), an ancient Greek-Roman mule track built in the IV century B.C. that goes from 'Piazzetta Santa Croce' in Termini until 'Punta Campanella' through the northern side of the promontory. From Punta Campanella it's possible to hike more reaching the top of Monte San Costanzo. The view is amazing with Ieranto Bay on the right and the islands Capri, Ischia, and Procida, on the left.
For those who prefer hiking with a limited elevation, there is the beautiful 5km path that departs from the picturesque village of Nerano and reaches the beautiful Ieranto Bay. Once there, it's possible to enjoy a guided tour in a kayak and to swim among a lot of fishes as the area is a marine natural park (no motorboats are allowed to enter). Spectacular are the views over Li Galli island and Capri.
If you are fancy hiking in Capri, the wild heart of the island unveils many breathtaking landscapes, where the sea blends continuously with the blue sky. There is a wide choice of hiking trails for all levels. Experts will choose the 9km hike 'Blue Grotto ‐ Lighthouse – Mt Solaro – Anacapri' while beginners will do the 6km Path of the Little Forts along the coast from the Lighthouse to the Blue Grotto.
Another great 4km hike joins three of the main cities of the Amalfi Coast: Ravello, Scala, and Amalfi. The hike starts from Ravello, an oasis of tranquility and an ideal place for trekking lovers. Then the walking goes across Scala, the most ancient village of the Amalfi Coast, and descends to Amalfi across old paper mills and waterfalls 'Valle delle Ferriere e dei Mulini'.
Your Guide: Friendly Nino has decades of experience in guiding groups and individuals across the paths and breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. Passionate for hiking, he knows the local flora and fauna and will help you to get the most out of your hiking on the Amalfi Coast. He is able to turn even the most difficult hike into a pleasant walk.
Food: You will meet local farmers and shepherds, that still work and live in this little corner of heaven, and that will share with you their local products.
Meeting Point: Nino can pick you up at your hotel in Sorrento, normally around 8 am. Otherwise, you can go directly to the meeting point in Piazza Tasso at 8 am or you will be told in advance how to drive to the point where the hike departs (around 8.30-8.45 am).
Good to know: Hiking tours are always available, weather permitting. Nino will choose the best route based on traffic, weather, and season.
