The perfect alchemy of stone and wood, rustic and modern is the main feature of this 3-bedroom chic villa in North Tuscany. A remote location in the wood, halfway between Pisa and Lucca. The pool is on your doorstep and you’ll spend your days basking in the Tuscan sunshine roaming the villa’s garden, baking pizza outdoor, and barbecuing T-bone Chianina steaks. When the sunlight fades, you will head to the veranda with a glass of Tuscan wine and enjoy the twinkling lights of the valley.
THE VILLA: organized over 3 floors and surrounded by a manicured 5000sqm garden with a panoramic pool. On the ground floor, there is a living room with sofas, a smart Tv, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and a bathroom. The first floor hosts 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a shower. The basement (reduced height of 1.70m) hosts another double bedroom with en-suite, a large open living space with a fire-place, and a second kitchen. The villa features vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, and wrought iron beds, as the Tuscan style commands. A pastel beige-color dominates the cozy and bright house.
THE ROOMS: The villa can accommodate a max of 6 people in 3 double bedrooms.
THE FOOD: There is a large fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor patio with BBQ and pizza oven. Once a week, buy fresh food at the village farmers' market.
LOCATION: The Villa is surrounded by wood and overlooks the Piana di Lucca. It is halfway between Lucca (14km) and Pisa (30km) and at just 5 minutes from the old village of Ruota with food shops, restaurants, and bars. The best airport is Pisa (35km).
WHAT TO SEE AND DO: The villa is a perfect base to relax and reconnect with mother nature. It is not ideal for those who want to explore North Tuscany because it will take 30 minutes only to drive to the village. Then, you will reach the walled city Lucca (16km) and Pisa tower (31km) in 30 minutes. Pistoia (45km), Florence (80km) within a 2hour drive. Wine lovers will head to Bolgheri (85km), home of popular Sassicaia and Ornellaia labels. A day out to Versilia beaches (40km) is an alternative to the Adventure Parks (26-31km) for families with children. A cave marble tour (76km) and hiking at Le Cinque Terre (100km) can be family unique experiences. The thermal baths of Montecatini (30km), Golf (36km), and tennis clubs (8km) are within a 1-hour drive.
GOOD TO KNOW: The pool is open from May until October and it's not heated - It's possible to anticipate the opening on request. There is a 2km gravel road to access the property, avoid renting large-sports cars and add extra 30 minutes of driving to reach any destination.
